I'm still rooting for Dimples.

It’s exhausting trying to keep track of what’s out there. So I compiled a list of spoilers, speculation and rumors about what Ali Fedotowsky will do in “The Bachelorette” season 6 finale on Monday. There will probably be 100 more “hints” by the end of the weekend, but here’s what I have so far:

Hints that Ali is Single

Hints that Ali Picks Chris Lambton

Hints that Ali Picks Roberto Martinez

Hints that Ali is Engaged to… Someone

How did she break the rules? By dumping Chris before the final rose ceremony and proposing to Roberto herself?

By Gina Carbone
gina-carbone@comcast.net

So never mind that stupid idea that “Bachelorette” Ali Fedotowsky is rejected by both Chris Lambton and Roberto Martinez.

She hurts someone!

I suppose it’s about time, since everyone else on her season went about it the other way around.

No news from People on a proposal, ala Us Weekly’s cover, but this suggests she dumps at least one guy, if not both.

I just watched some E! and in their quick “cover wars” segment they said that Ali told People what happened in the finale was not scripted. They also quoted Ali telling People that her finale decision was the “easiest” decision she’s ever made.

That sounds like a Roberto win to me! She’s loved him from day 1 and I really think she meant for Chris to go home in Tahiti. Frank ruined that so now she has to hurt him in a way she never intended. That’s my new theory. Or she could pick no one. It’s always an option.

***

Here’s a blurb from People magazine’s August 9th issue, via Celebrity Chatta, which is a godsend of a site:

With the season finale of The Bachelorette set to air Aug. 2, millions of viewers are wondering if Ali Fedotowsky picked down-to-earth landscaper Chris Lambton, 33, or sexy insurance salesman Roberto Martinez, 26.

Or — as many rumors have suggested — does she walk away solo?

“I was trying to be smart and fall in love with my heart — but use my head too,” she tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story of her Bachelorette experience.

“Sometimes the right thing is the hardest thing to do, and it’s definitely hard to hurt somebody,” she adds without revealing her final decision. “No matter what happens in the end, I hurt somebody.”

OK, so now we’re back to Reality Steve vs. Us Weekly.

According to Us, via Hollywood Life, Chris Lambton or Roberto Martinez proposed to season 6 “Bachelorette” Ali Fedotowsky on the morning of May 8 at Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa. She supposedly said yes.

But then the story says Ali and her Chosen One hugged and kissed as the sun set. How freaking long was the proposal that it took from morning until sunset?

I’ll post the story below, but if this is true there’s nothing “shocking” or “surprising” about the ending. The official ABC press release and Chris Harrison are insisting big surprises are around every corner for the finale. At this point I trust Chris H. about as much as Us Weekly, which is as far as I can throw him.

Could it be that the big surprise is just that Ali lets Chris L. go before the final rose ceremony? That doesn’t quite jive with this statement from Chris H.:

Rumor has it this finale differs for from every previous season. Is that true?
Chris Harrison: It is. It’s true from the last chance dates. And from those on into “proposal day,” at the end. Everything is different than what our fans have seen in years past.

That suggests even the proposal will be unusual. Will Ali propose to Roberto? Why not? She practically eats him with her eyes. Or will she (no no no no no) propose to Chris L.? Is that why Ali’s mom wants this photo of Chris? Who knows.

**

Anyway, here’s the story:

Though we have yet to learn the name of Ali Fedotowsky’s fiance, Us Weekly reports she definitely got engaged on The Bachelorette to either Chris Lambton or Roberto Martinez! On the morning of May 8 at Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa, one of the two men got down on one knee and proposed to Ali with a Neil Lane engagement ring. (Two sources confirm that Roberto has filed to get a license in Ali’s home state of California.)

Ali accepted the ring without hesitation. “They hugged and kissed [for 30 seconds] as the sun set,” confirms a source. “They looked so happy!”

After the ceremony, the couple was escorted separately to Ali’s $1,000 per night suite. Ali arrived first, and her man was brought up 15 minutes later. They remained in the suite for the whole night, while the production crew and the runner up celebrated the end of the filming at a wrap party held at Iraitai.

Now, Ali has to plan for the big day. For her dress, Ali may be considering a gown made by one of her two favorite designers: Vera Wang or Monique Lhuillier, says a source. “I think she’d want strapless because she likes to show off her arms and her shoulder,” adds the source. “I see Ali in something classic. She doesn’t have wild tastes.”

And for music, Ali “loves ’80s music,” says the source. “I could see her hiring a DJ or an ’80s cover band. The biggest thing she’d want is just a fun party where all her friends can dance and have a great time.”

Ali might also be blessed by a special wedding song. Crazy Kasey Kahl says that he would like to sing to her at the ceremony. Unfortunately, Ali put his idea to rest: “Kasey can come, but I don’t if I would let him sing.” Good idea Ali!

**

I think that’s baloney. I know. I’ll believe that she makes her real final choice during the “After the Final Rose” but I won’t believe this? I think I’m just questioning it because it’s from Us Weekly and I’m tired of their “sources.”

For the record, I like Ali. She's taken a lot of heat for her drinking, her laughing, her bad hair, her insecurities. But I do like her. She's no Meredith (still love ya, Meredi!) but she's also no Diva DeAnna or Ditzy Jillian.

By Gina Carbone
gina_carbone@comcast.net

How do we feel about Chris Harrison?

I used to love him. Platonically, of course. He was “beloved Chris.” But now he is tainted. I look at him and see producer Mike Fleiss and his team of sleazy editors with their filthy talons molding a quest for love into “the process.” And it makes me sad.

Having said that, I am still interested in what Chris H. has to say. Today I found him speaking to E! about the “surprise” ending that has me very nervous.

(Did you see the finale preview where it looks like Ali is rejected by both Chris L. and Roberto? Bull!)

**

Here is a portion of Chris’ interview with E!:

Rumor has it this finale differs for from every previous season. Is that true?
Chris Harrison: It is. It’s true from the last chance dates. And from those on into “proposal day,” at the end. Everything is different than what our fans have seen in years past.

Do you think people are going to be surprised by the ending? And is it a good ending?
C.H.: People will be surprised. Whether it’s good or not, Ali’s happy with it and she’s sticking by it. It’ll be interesting. I really just want to sit back and watch the fan reactions, what the comments are and how they feel it all played out.

Do you believe Ali is still happy with the decision she made?
C.H.: I do. The past two weekends in a row I’ve gotten to see her. And I actually finally got to sit down and talk to her for the first time alone since we were in Bora Bora [shooting the finale]. And she’s good, she’s really happy. She looked like the old Ali. I think so much [of this process] got to her. We joke that she’s an overanalyzer. She contemplates everything, and overthinks things and sometimes is afraid to just let things happen. So she looked healthier, she looked happy. She had a smile on her face and a bounce in her step again. The season took a lot out of her. It was a rough road, but she’s good. She’s very happy and content with what she did.

**

From even before the season started, both Chris and Ali have been describing the ending with limp adjectives  like “satisfied” and “content” and “happy,” but only “happy” in the context of the decisions she made, not happy because she’s in love and engaged.

(Usually they tell us by now if they are in love and engaged. Does anyone remember how Brad Womack worded the ending at this point?)

So are we back to Ali picking no one and deciding it was the right call? Chris says she’s like “the old Ali” now that it’s over, so maybe this was all a negative experience for her? (Except for the parts where she gets a free wardrobe, is paid to shop and may do “Dancing with the Stars.”)

I’m still holding out hope for a “Fleissing,” whether it be from Ali choosing a guy at the After the Final Rose or just a straight-up proposal from Roberto Martinez.

It does sort of look like Ali dumps Chris Lambton before the final rose ceremony but does that mean there is no final rose ceremony? Does Ali need time to think things over? Is that why she’s waiting until the ATFR, if that’s really happening at all? Have I spent wayyyyyy too much time analyzing this when I know full well I’m probably wrong? (Yep.)

No wonder we haven't seen Roberto or Chris with Ali in the final rose ceremony previews.

By Gina Carbone
gina_carbone@comcast.net

Now we’re talking.

I tell you. Spend two minutes on the FORT spoiler threads and you’ll either go blind or crazy with wild ideas.

I’ve decided to go crazy.

My latest inclination — of many — is that creepy producer Mike Fleiss asked our Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky to leave Bora Bora a single woman, choosing no one in the final rose ceremony, or just not having an official FRC.

This would mean Reality Steve’s spoilers are correct, but only to a point. Like a six-digit phone number.

Then the idea is that Ali names her choice at the “After the Final Rose” special, which Steve admits he doesn’t have any intel on at this point. (He just says Frank is being a diva and doesn’t want to do it.)

The final two, Roberto Martinez and Chris Lambton, already know her choice and Ali and her F1 have been in contact at the safe house or wherever. They may even have filmed some secret scenes — the alternate ending — in Bora Bora.

At any rate, it would be one way to save some kind of “surprise” for the viewers. So Steve can crow about her “single” status and claim he was right while actually being “Fleissed” about the actual outcome.

Again, just a theory. I know Steve turns his nose up at rumors and speculation, but I say keep ‘em coming! Especially when they support the idea of Ali being engaged to Roberto and living with him somewhere around Irvine, California where he’ll work for State Farm and she’ll do the short commute to L.A. for “Dancing with the Stars.”

Who doesn’t want that kind of fairy tale ending?

Not to put too fine a point on it, but the little red "A" on this Google Map points to Irvine, which definitely qualifies as outside Los Angeles. ... Team Roberto!

By Gina Carbone
gina_carbone@comcast.net

I’m going to copy a portion of this Entertainment Tonight interview, but I do recommend watching the video to hear it from Ali Fedotowsky — because she says a lot more than what is listed below.

The more interesting stuff is in the video, frankly. She’s also good about keeping her voice pretty neutral when talking about both Chris Lambton and Roberto Martinez. (I was looking for “signs.”)

Two interesting parts to me:

1. She will NOT be living in L.A. She said even if she does get another job involving TV (like “Dancing with the Stars”?) she would commute from outside L.A. Does that have anything to do with Roberto’s State Farm transfer to Irvine, California??? She says right now she’s not sure where she will be living.

2. She wants to start her own swimsuit line. Ali said before the show, and during the show to Roberto’s dad, that she wants to start her own business. So this is not a surprise. Plus, she’s been on magazine covers showing off her swimsuit body.

By the way, Bachelor/Bachelorette stylist Cary Fetman (whom Ali mentions in the video) talked to me for a fun fashion story and you can read it here. Justin digs his own grave, bless him.

**

Anyway, here’s the ET story:

ET was behind the scenes of the “The Bachelorette: Men Tell All” where Ali Fedotowsky revealed to us just how she feels about her two remaining bachelors: Chris L. and Roberto.

“I think with Chris he is funny,” she tells ET. “He is a little quirky. He makes these comments that are sick and silly. He is such a family guy. [With Roberto], I think people could judge him because he’s a super good-looking guy and an athlete. I sort of did when I first met him. Like, ‘This guy is going to break my heart.’ He turns out to be this genuine guy who would always be respectful of others. He wanted to tell me about his past but he never wanted to say too much because he wanted to be respectful of people he knew in the past. …Two great guys.”

So does Chris have an advantage over Roberto because Ali has previously admitted to liking quirky guys? She won’t say. What she does say is, “I always like guys that are interesting that maybe not every woman in America would be attracted to, but I would like because he is different.”

On tonight’s “The Bachelorette: Men Tell All,” Ali has to face the men she rejected one final time. Among them is Ty, who may have been eliminated because he talked to her about being raised in a traditional home, and Ali needs a guy who will support her in her career.

“I actually did think that about Ty in the beginning,” Ali says. “As I learned more about him, I realized that not may not actually have been what he was saying,. …That worried me a little about him. If at any point, I felt a guy wouldn’t support me and my ambitions, of course, that definitely would weigh.”

The rumors are out there that Ali doesn’t pick either Chris or Roberto, which we will find out on Aug. 2 when “The Bachelorette” presents the final rose. So while she is keeping mum on her decision, she does say that the next thing she will be doing is looking for work.

“I am unemployed and I don’t have a lot of savings,” she says. “People think, ‘She got paid all this money to be “The Bachelorette.”‘ That is not true, so I think I need to start looking at what is next for me. I have been wanting to start a swimsuit line for a while now. I have been working on it a little bit in my down time.”

What Ali won’t be doing is living in L.A. She says even if she were offered more work in TV, she would live outside of L.A. and commute in.

“The hustle and bustle of everything and the paparazzi, it is a lot,” she says. “I don’t think it is the right place for me. We will have to see where I will end up.”

“The Bachelorette: Men Tell All” airs tonight at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Obviously this is just a hot photo to have, but why does Ali's mom want it?

And why am I just seeing this now?

Did you see this? Under an InTouch magazine photo of Chris Lambton on this “Fan photos of Ali Fedotowsky” page, it looks like Ali’s mom, Elizabeth, wants to get a copy of a pic of Chris:

  • Elizabeth Fedotowsky What magazine is this pic in?

    July 17 at 2:28pm · ·
  • Elisabeth Barker Its in In Touch. I have a copy of it if you’d like it. Ill send it out on Monday Beth.

    July 17 at 2:44pm · ·
  • Elizabeth Fedotowsky That would be great Betsy if you don’t mind!!!

    July 17 at 7:12pm · ·

WTF!!!

Here's a pic of Ali's mom from the hometown visit on "The Bachelor." Looks like the same lady in the Facebook pic, just without glasses. (She kind of looks like Roberto's mom, no? Just a bit?)

I know Ali’s mom’s name is sometimes listed as Beth Johnson and I thought she lived in Williamstown, Mass. But is she still going by Elizabeth Fedotowsky online? This woman is listed as living in Albany, New York. Is it someone else? Ali DID introduce her mother to Jake as “Elizabeth” and it looks like the same woman from “The Bachelor” hometown visits, so I’m going with this as her mother. Final answer.

*Update* I just bought the People magazine with the “Why I Broke the Rules” cover. In the story, Ali confesses she was having trouble keeping the secret ending a secret. “It was seriously killing me inside!” Ali tells People. “I was bursting at the seams. I had to call someone I love.” And so, the story says, Ali’s mom, Beth Fedotowsky, finally learned whether or not someone had captured her little girl’s heart. So Ali’s mom knows the truth and Ali’s mom wants a pic of Chris…

As the self-declared captain of Team Roberto I am heartbroken by the idea that Ali does choose Chris. Chris seems like a great guy — don’t attack me! — but he doesn’t seem to have that spark with Ali.

But it would make sense if this whole charade with spoilers out there that she picks no one, then that she picks Roberto, would all be wrong when she picks Chris. Then maybe Roberto would be the next Bachelor. That would be OK. But it breaks my effing heart. I’m invested in Ali + Roberto. No idea why. I’m sad that way.

Having said that, I only learned about this nifty little family drama from this compilation of the season’s spoilers, rumors and hints.

It’s actually pretty handy. Sadly, I had nothing to do with it. That same site also has this Chris hint:

“Another hint that it’s Chris?  SuzieQ spotted the fact that Ali’s left wrist is blurred out in the preview footage of the Final Rose Ceremony.  Could she be wearing the bracelet Chris gave her? And why would she wear it if he isn’t the one she picks?”

GODAMMIT! Let this be false, please!

Ali shows off her Dennis bracelet in Dennis, Mass. — which is part of Cape Code. Cape Cod itself is not a town, not matter how much "The Bachelorette" insists.

By Gina Carbone
gina_carbone@comcast.net

File this one under Some People Are Just Perpetually Disgruntled.

The Boston Herald has a story today about Eden Hand Arts in Dennis, Massachusetts, the company that makes the “Dennis bracelets” that got so much air time on “The Bachelorette,” thanks to Chris Lambton.

**

To quote the Herald:

… “We have more business than we can handle,” said Rachel Carey Harper, owner of Eden Hand Arts in Dennis, where the bracelets are handmade. “This just makes our life much more complicated.”

Now as all “Bachelorette” fans know, Chris waited until he and Ali had made their elusive “connection” before presenting her with his special gift – a silver and gold Screwball. …

Anyway, Harper declined to discuss her bracelet’s role in the TV romance before quickly signing off. Because, really, she has customers to wait on. (There’s a line out the door of her Dennis jewelry shop every day it’s open, all summer long.)

But we hear the Eden artistes also are annoyed that Screwball knockoffs no doubt will prosper from the nationwide boost “The Bachelorette” gave their bling.

In fact, on their Web site, the Eden peeps note, “No other jewelry maker is authorized to manufacture or sell the Cape Cod Screwball bracelet! Please don’t be fooled by imitations. Beyond the ethical considerations they are often of questionable quality, fit and over-priced.”

Not so upset over being featured on the hit ABC show: the brewmeisters at Cape Cod Beer . The gang at the Hyannis brewery said their phones were ringing off the hook after a growler of their suds was featured on the show.

“It was pretty cool,” said brewery boss Beth Marcus .

But has it helped business?

The line is indeed long outside Eden Hand Arts, as shown in this pic from http://www.rachelleb.com.

“It’s July and the hottest July in 12 years, business is crazy,” she said, adding that Chris rang them up yesterday to say, ‘Hey,’ ” and “He seemed like a very nice guy.”

“I wondered, ‘I wonder if she deserves him?’”

**

People commenting on the story had little sympathy for the Eden Hand Arts owners:

ShonShon: The article states that the company is now super busy and thus life is much more complicated. You want complicated? Try feeding your family and paying bills on unemployment.

bella_92: I am not familiar with the jewler, but I wonder if everything they sell are original designs? If not, they might not want to get into commenting on knock-offs. They might also not want to complain about being busy…some people would give anything to have their businesses so busy it made things \”complicated\”.

LMichelle30: If she doesn’t appreciate the attention and it makes her life so much more “complicated” then how come on her website she brags that it is the same bracelet as seen on The Bachelorette? Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.

fish: OK, I’ll help you out by not getting one.

**

If you go to this site it looks like there ARE lines out the door, but that may be because the space is tiny and the hours are random and only a few days a week. (Very New England. As a native and resident I have to say, most regional businesses seem to resent business more than welcome it.)

The business owners should know by now that Love Is The Only Reality. So just smile, take the stalkers’ fans’ money and say thank you. It’ll all be over soon enough.

It’s fun to watch Billy Bush try to get the truth out of Ali Fedotowsky. I think he just wanted to roll the rrrrs in Roberto and call her “Ali Martinez.”

See. When Ali kisses Roberto she tends to wrap her arms around him.

I actually like this Access Hollywood interview. There’s the skype thing (video is at the top right) with Billy and Ali, where Ali says Frank Neuschaefer‘s meeting with Nicole Caruso came off as a talk between a couple that never actually broke up. (TRUE!)

She also says Frank would’ve been in her top two (I knew it! Frank and Dimples!)  Then there’s the longer story where she says of her final choice “I can tell you that I am in the best place. I’m so happy so you’ll have to see why that is.”

Why would she be “so happy” if she picked no one and is single?

Also in the interview, Kirk DeWindt disses Chris Lambton (isn’t that like Rhoda dissing Mary?) as a good choice for the next Bachelor.

**

To quote the story:

Kissing Chris? No arms around the neck.

“And then there was Kirk, whose heart is still singing after being booted from the show following the hometown dates. He hinted to Access Hollywood that he may know something that the audience doesn’t – that one of Ali’s final two men may not be the one handing out roses next season.

‘I feel like Chris probably has too many awkward kisses to be the next ‘Bachelor,’ Kirk laughed. ‘I’m saying that it was a little awkward for me to watch. I feel like a whole season of that would be terrifying.’”

**

Which is just fuel for the fire that Kirk is going to be named the next Bachelor. He’s getting the pre-Bachelor treatment this Monday on “The Men Tell All,” which is exactly what Ali got to do on Jake’s season of “The Bachelor” during “The Women Tell All.”

Are we OK with Kirk as The Bachelor? I don’t know if it’s a done deal or not, but if it’s true I am very, very, very, very, very, very, very disappointed.

Ali helps Roberto undress. It's a tough job.

By Gina Carbone
gina_carbone@comcast.net

As the self-declared captain of Team Roberto, it’s very possible that I’m just reading into this because I want Ali Fedotowsky to pick Roberto Martinez and be engaged to him and have it be true that he’s moving to California to be with her.

Is Ali going to take the "ultimate risk" with Roberto? Or no one? (Or Chris, I suppose.) Ali, just tell me!

This BuzzSugar interview makes me think maybe that’s true. Or partly true.

In Tahiti, Ali talked about how much she loves that Roberto makes her feel safe and protected.

(Her exact quote is “There’s something so incredible about having someone make you feel taken care of and protected. And Roberto makes me feel that way. He’s genuine and real and caring and he has a huge heart. He just radiates love and life. I think if I ended up with Roberto I would live a wonderful life and it would never be short of romance.”)

In this interview she talks about how she thought she wanted a goofy fun guy like Frank (or Chris Lambton, although she doesn’t say it) but it turns out what she needs is a “rock” … like Roberto.

I think her plan was to have it be Frank and Roberto in the final two. She just told E! the Frank incident did not affect her final decision. I figured this whole Ali chooses no one thing came out because Frank hurt her so much she wasn’t ready to risk her heart in the end, but it sounds like that’s not quite the case. It gives me more hope for a “surprise” Roberto engagement … even if it’s brief.

Or — I don’t want this to be true, but the FORTs are bringing it up — maybe Mike Fleiss is Fleissing us, not Reality Steve. Maybe he’s planting these Ali picks Roberto stories in the tabs to counteract Reality Steve. Maybe Steve is right? Again? God save us, I don’t think I can take that. His ego will just explode. It’s already in the red zone. Alas…

Anyway, I’m posting the BuzzSugar interview below. It gives me hope. Especially since Ali says she’s good at keeping secrets…

***

BuzzSugar: Was it difficult to watch this week’s episode with Frank again?
Ali Fedotowsky: I really did get emotional. I’ve been watching the shows and sort of reliving them, so to see myself that down is hard. Watching yourself cry is difficult! It just reaffirmed that I’m so much better off for him leaving. This whole time, I had always said to my producers that I knew Frank would hurt me at same point. He really made me feel insecure throughout the thing, and I said to him, ‘My relationship with you scares me.’ I’m positive that I would not have ended up with Frank in the end, because I wouldn’t have been able to commit to someone who scared me that much.

Buzz: You said it was hard to see yourself. Do you get critical of yourself on TV?
AF: Oh gosh, yes. I’m always so hard on myself for things that I do and say. My hair is always a mess, and everyone has noted. But what can I do? I just have to go with it.

Buzz: Last night we saw the overnight dates — are they as awkward as they look?
AF: So awkward! I shouldn’t even say awkward, but you don’t know what people are expecting. Because I’m offering a guy an overnight date card, that doesn’t mean we’re going to go in the room and take all of our clothes off and get into bed! Yes, I’m giving him an overnight card, but I am not the type of girl to be with one guy, and then a minute later be with another guy. I would never do that. Ever. It’s not what people think it is. I don’t know that I’m even necessarily ready to sleep next to a guy one night and then another guy the next night.

Buzz: Even so, it seems like you guys were almost set up by the producers to take off your clothes, because you had to walk in waist-deep water to get to your fantasy suite!
AF: [laughs] I guess I should say I didn’t have much problem taking Roberto’s shirt off!

Buzz: We didn’t have a problem with it either! So after spending time with these guys, what have you learned that people can apply to their own dating lives?
AF: I always thought that — and people might disagree with this, honestly — but I always thought that the guy that was right for me needs to be my best friend and the person I can hang out with. But I think what I realized through all of this, is the guy I’m friends with — the funny guy who is quirky and the center of attention, aka Frank — that’s not necessarily the guy I need to be with. I can surround myself with friends like that, and then the man who I need to be with is the rock who is there for me after a hard day of work, that I can come home to. What I need in a social setting is not what I need in a husband.

Buzz: Well, we know Frank is out, but there are conflicting rumors saying that you’re single or that you’re engaged and already planning your wedding! Has it been difficult to keep the real outcome a secret?
AF: I’m good at keeping secrets, so it’s been OK. But it is really hard in the sense that I don’t want to keep in the secret! I just want to be like, ‘You’re wrong, you’re wrong, you’re kind of right but wrong.’ I just want everything out there, so I can talk about it and live my life whether I’m a single woman or whether I’m happily engaged.

Buzz: So, I take it you’re happy with your decision?
AF: I’m so happy with my decision. I wouldn’t change anything!
