Come on. Even Jay Manuel said whiny Liz Williams could’ve taken the roller coaster all the way home for all he cared. She complains too much and her Matthew Rolston photo was awful. Much worse than Rhianna Atwood’s pic. Is Liz still on “America’s Next Top Model” because she has a better backstory as a single mom?
Sure, she had the #1 rollercoaster photo, but it was one of those bizarre only-on-ANTM challenges that has little bearing in the real world. When is someone going to give you an ear piece, put you on a rollercoaster and give you a cue at a certain point to … pose like you’re commercial and relatable! Pose like you’re envious! Edgy! Pouting! It’s ridiculous.
But Liz got a photo shoot with Tyra and she chose her friends Chris White and Kayla Ferrel. Chris was terrified on the rollercoaster and her photo was so bad she might as well have stayed on the ground. But she sucked it up and did it, so she deserves credit for that. Plus, Matthew Rolston loved her sea goddess photo, forehead and all. He said it was his favorite shot.
Kayla owned the photo shoot with Tyra and she also looked great in the Mattew Rolston pic. She is my #1 girl now. She can do no wrong.
But it’s painfully obvious after three wins in a row that Ann Ward is exactly what the judges want in a high fashion model. She’s also just quirky and insecure enough to fit with “Top Model’s” love for underdogs. (Remember quirky Nicole “Bloody Eyeball” Fox?)
I like Ann. I do. And her sea goddess photo was very Vogue Italia. But overall I’m Team Kayla.
Two other things we now know: Nobody likes Kacey Leggett and male models are boring.
Here is my ranking of the top 10 models at this point on Cycle 15:
1. Kayla Ferrel, 19, Rockford, Illinois, 5 ft 9 in
2. Ann Ward, 19, Dallas, Texas, 6 ft 2 in
3. Kendal Brown, 23, Northport, Alabama, 5 ft 11 in
4. Esther Petrack, 18, Boston, Massachusetts, 5 ft 9 in
5. Chelsey Hersley, 22, Boise, Idaho, 5 ft 11 in
6. Chris White, 20, Arlington, Texas, 5 ft 10½ in
7. Kacey Leggett, 20, Palmdale, California, 5 ft 9 in
8. Jane Randall, 19, Baltimore, Maryland, 5 ft 9 in
9. Lexie Tomcheck, 18, Geneva, Illinois, 6 ft 0 in

Hi! I’m an ANTM fan and blogger from Hong Kong who stumbled into your blog by accident.
Annamaria was my first pick, and she was eliminated almost immediately.
Rhianna was also one of my favorites, but I think she has to be photographed carefully. She has such strange features — the droopy sad eyes, the downturned mouth — that she can look gorgeous or just weird. I thought she looked like a pre-Raphealite beauty here.
I can’t believe she’s gone now.
I wonder if they are keeping Liz because they always need one dramatic, drag-queenish-person with a back story — like you said.

they kept Liz because Tyra didn’t want the eliminated girl all over her website!

Gina,
Your ANTM blogs are as good– or sometimes better– as the show. Keep blogging about ANTM– you do a fabulous job.
My thoughts on Cycle 15 and ANTM generally:
*Ann is terrific, but not as terrific as the judges think. I would have given Kayla or Kendal best undersea photo, and Kendal best Rodeo Drive photo.
*Didn’t care for the behind-the-scenes Kacey, but thought that she was eliminated too early, especially in light of her two consecutive challenge competition wins. I think that Chelsey and Liz are weaker than Kacey.
*On ANTM generally:
So reassuring that hair, makeup and styling are so important. Good to know that the models don’t look like models when they’re not on a shoot.
Some good workplace conduct lessons on occasion. Cooperate. Don’t vent on the job. Don’t be a prima dona or high maintenance. Work hard and compete hard, but do it with a smile. Accept criticism graciously and adjust your performance based on feedback. Remember that at the end of day, it’s not all about you.
Modeling is not as easy as it looks. Some of it is bone structure and innate photogenic quality, but it helps to have acting ability, the ability to move fluidly, and the ability to take direction. Many aspiring models would probably benefit from acting and dance training.

I think the judges know what they are doing. They gave Ann best pictures 5 consecutive times because she does have the best photos. Hands down on that. Her only issue is her lack of confidence which is understandable because of all the bullying she got before. I think the judges loves her because of the beautiful photos she delivers and acknowledges the fact that she doess’t have self confidence. That is why they did the commercial challenge this early in the competition. To prepare Ann and to let her work on it before its too late.

And by the way, Andre Leon Talley is one of the judges and Editor of Vogue. He obviously likes Ann because her beauty definitely qualifies for his magazine. Sorry guys, it’s the editor were dealing here. Go Ann!
